Acne commonly occurs during the stage of puberty and it mostly experience by peole with oily skin and dead skin cells.

Acne or  acne vulgaris can be a long term skin disease if not treated properly and if that happens, most of the people tend to reduce their self-esteem, anxiety happens and for some who can’t take the problem of acne, cases of depression has been reported and the worst is suicide.

It is important to know that diet is one of the big factor in having acne.  Avoid processed foods and try to eat fresh foods.  Lessen your intake of dairy products.  It can produce more oil and may cause acne.

Vitamins and nutrient deficiency can also cause acne.  The lack of vitamin A and zinc is a factor for the disease. You have to regularly get a blood test to know if you have any deficiencies.

Acne also may be the result of an allergy that you may possibly don’t know.  Gluten allergy can cause acne because it reduces the amount of the nutrients need to be absorbed.

Though many may do not know, acne medicines are not only be found in your local drugstores or supermarkets.  But you may neglect that you have these cures right in your home.

These are some of the natural cures for acne that you can find in you homes:

  • Baking Soda – one of the best home remedy for acne.  Baking soda eliminates breakouts and reduces inflammation.  It is also an exfoliator and helps to remove dead skin cells.  To apply baking soda to your acne, mix baking soda with warm water until it becomes a paste like substance.  Apply the mixture to your skin and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes. It is painful at first but very effective.  If you can take the pain, prolong the mixture for an hour or you can even leave it overnight then wash your face.  Many tried it and was amazed that for one application of baking soda mix can easily cure your acne problem.

  • Apple Cider Vinegar – is both antibacterial and antifungal. To apply, mix few teaspoons of raw/unfiltered apple cider vinegar (you can put more if you wish) with half a cup of water and apply it directly to your acne

  • Egg Whites – it reduces oil in your skin and can minimize the pores in drawing out impurities. Egg whites will serve as a mask once applied in your skin. To make your egg white face mask, you need to apply the egg white to your skin by using cotton or cotton balls.  Once applied, you can feel that the egg becomes tight and leave it for 10 minutes.  You can apply this also on your whole face to have and amazing glowing skin as a result.

  • Garlic– as we all know has a natural antibacterial compound. To apply garlic on your acne, take a clove of garlic and sliced it thinly. Rub the slices on your acne, and leave it for 15 to 30 minutes. You will feel a burning sensation but it is very effective.  Then wash your face.

  • Ice Cubes– rub an ice cube on problem areas to help reduce inflammation.  It closes your pores and forces the bacteria to come out.

  • Cornstarch– has a very soothing and gentle feeling once applied.  It is best to use cornstarch once your acne has lot of redness and irritation. You can apply the cornstarch to your individual breakouts or to your whole face and you can leave it overnight.

  • Lemon / Lemon Juice–  lemons have a natural antibacterial and astringent properties. Apply lemon to the irritated area and leave it for 15 minutes to an hour.

  • Coconut Oil– coconut oil is antibacterial, antifungal and can also be your moisturizer.  Apply the coconut oil to your skin and massage it. You can reapply coconut oil to your skin twice a day.

  • Tea Tree Oil– tea tree oil is an essential oil and can be a very powerful all natural remedy for acne, as it is antibacterial. To apply, mix a small amount (5 to 10 drops) of tea tree oil with 1/4 cup water. Dip a cotton ball into the mixture and apply it to your skin.

  • Aloe– has a very soothing and reduces inflammation and redness. To use it, apply the gel to your skin with your fingers, you can apply it several times a day. If you have an aloe plant, it would be even better as you get the aloe fresh, without any added ingredients.
