Many think that a simple headache can be cured by simply resting.

Yes resting may help, but there are these kinds of headache that really can’t just go away too easily.

Here are some of the home and simple remedies to cure your headache:

  • Take a rest while sitting or lying, release the tension by closing your eyes.
  • Rub your neck and back with an efficacent oil and gently massage it.
  • Menthol has mint which are very effective in headache relief.
  • Apply an ice pack to the back of your neck to give you some headache relief.  Or put ice in a small towel and put it on your forehead, or gently pat some at the back of your neck.
  • Mint – mint leaves has menthol.  You can put mint leaves in your juice or water and drink it.  You can also apply mint leaves on your forehead.  Mint tea is also great in headache relief.

  • Ginger – provides relief from headache by mixing it in any or your drink (juices or make ginger juice) and drink it twice for a day.  You can also boil ginger and inhale its vapor. You can also chew ginger to heal your headache.

  • Lavender Oil – the scent of this oil is already headache reliever.  Drop few amounts of lavender oil in a boiling water and inhale its vapor.  You can also put a drop or two of this oil in a tissue and inhale it.

  • Rosemary – has rosemary oil that has rosmarinic acid that is a factor in soothing headache and also has the anti-inflammatory properties. You can also apply rosemary oil on your forehead. You can also try rosemary tea by boiling the leaves.  You can drink this two to three times a day.

  • Basil – is very helpful to relax muscles that also helps in treating headaches.  Basil also has the calming and analgesic effects.  Make a basil tea and add honey for some soothing effect.  You can also chew some basil leaves or you can massage the leaves with oil on your forehead.

  • Cloves – has a cooling and pain relieving properties that can ease headache. Drop few amounts of clove oil and massage it on your forehead.  Also you can crush the cloves and put it in a clean cloth or small towel, and inhale the scent it emits.

  • Apples – add a little salt to your apple and simple eat it.  Apple cider vinegar is also good for headache by simply adding it to water and drink it.
