Natural remedies for Constipation
How will you feel if in a very normal day outside for you is all fun and adventure then suddenly, potty problem arises? What will you do? Why is it happening now when you know, you ate the right food this morning?
Do not be embarassed. If you need to go, then do it. You need not to feel the pain and the awkwardness longer because, there are these kinds of constipation that you really can not prevent.
Two types of constipation are the obstructed defecation and the colonic slow transit.
Obstructed defecation is due to mechanical and functional causes. While colonic slow transit can be due to hormones, diet, heavy metal toxicity, side effects of medications.
Here are some remedies that you can use or eat to prevent constipation throughout your day.
- OIL – a tablespoon of oil with any juice preferebly lemon, drink with an empty stomach. It stimulates the digestive system and if taken regularly, it can prevent constipation.
- COFFEE – for some coffee makes you feel constipated. But Caffeine is a natural stimulant that is a big help to your digestive system. Too much coffee in a day may cause constipation.

EAT FOOD RICH IN FIBER – Fiber acts like a sponge and doesn’t digest that fast. Fiber rich food are:
-Beans
-Apricots
-Whole grain bread
-Berries
-Broccoli
-Plums and apples
-Nuts
-Potatoes - BAEL – Bael is considered the best fruit to cure constipation. It has a laxative property that is anti-constipation. Regular intake of bael fruit for 2 – 3 months can treat even most chronic constipation.
- PEAR – Pears can be very beneficial in treatment for patients suffering from chronic constipation. A medium-sized pear taken after dinner or with breakfast can help a great deal to relieve constipation.
- GUAVA – Guava is rich in fiber and provides roughage to the diet. It helps in normal evacuation of the bowels.
- ORANGE – One to two oranges at bedtime and again in morning can help stimulate the bowels. Orange also helps prevent the accumulation of food residue in the colon.
- PAPAYA – Half a medium-sized papaya should be eaten as breakfast. Fresh and dry figs also have a laxative effect. Have four to five dry overnight-soaked figs in the morning.
- LIME – Squeeze half a lime in a glass of hot water and add half a teaspoon of salt into it is an effective remedy for constipation.
- HONEY – Sugar in honey stimulates bacteria in the intestines causing it to draw water which will aid in relieving the constipation.
- RAISINS, PRUNES AND DATES – These food are very rich in fiber and also have a special acid that acts as a natural laxative.
